| SPECIES ROSES, Part 2 Species roses are the unhybridized, pure-breds of nature. Generally, the flowers are less spectacular than some of the cultivars, but there is a charm to there simplicity. Gertrude Jekyll discusses them in Chapter V of Roses for English Gardens. Some of the examples below are probably cultivars.
